The World in Summary
The world’s news, briefly.
Privacy
Account features use your sign-in email and account identifier, saved stories, email-delivery choices, and interests. Supabase manages authentication and stores account data. Google sign-in supplies the basic account information needed to log in.
How we use information
We use it to manage sessions, display saved stories, and send morning emails only to readers who opt in. Joining alone does not subscribe you.
Saved stories & email
Saved headlines and summaries remain until you unsave them, even after the public daily archive expires. Unsaving removes your saved copy. Source publishers determine how long original articles remain available. Stop emails on My account or through the unsubscribe link in an email.
Public comments
Sign in and register a unique public nickname of 4–40 characters on My account before commenting. Nicknames are permanent and case-insensitive for uniqueness. Your nickname, comment text, and post time are public. We do not show your email or Google profile name in comments. Comments are shared between language editions and are not automatically translated.
Comments are retained separately from the article-display period. Delete your own comments in the comment panel to erase their displayed nickname and body. Your account nickname remains registered. Account identifiers and post times are retained internally to prevent repeated abuse. Deleting an account also deletes its comments. Administrators may hide inappropriate comments. Do not post personal information.
Browser storage
We use browser storage to maintain sign-in sessions. Sign out after using a shared device.
